On the World Standards Day, the Luxembourg Institute for Standardization, Accreditation, Security and quality of products and services (ILNAS) and the Chamber of Commerce are pleased to invite you to the first conference dedicated to standardization in Information Technology (IT) in Luxembourg.
The aim of this event is to raise economic actors’ awareness towards the importance of IT standardization. Not only is it crucial for them to apply standards, but it is all the more relevant to get involved in their development. On the one hand, by applying standards, the company can reach new markets, improve its performance, benefit from a good image and reinforce trust among its stakeholders. On the other hand, by participating in the standardization process, the company can anticipate the future regulations and preserve its interests: “Setting standards means setting the market”.
After an overview of IT international standardization and the participation of Luxembourg in this field, some experts will share their view and experience with the audience. Then, the conference will focus on Cloud Computing, which is an emerging standardization topic within the international committee ISO/IEC JTC1, dedicated to IT standards.
The conference will take place on Friday 14th of October 2011 at the Chamber of Commerce, Luxembourg Kirchberg, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All presentations will be held in English and will be sent to the participants afterwards. Attendance is free of charge but registration is compulsory.
You are eager to discover or to learn more about IT standardization? You want to anticipate the future standards in Cloud Computing? You are keen on understanding how IT standardization is organized in Luxembourg? You would like to share your viewpoints with other IT professionals?
